Blount Small Ship Adventures was founded by Luther Blount to "go where the big ships cannot." The company offers destination-oriented cruises on scenic rivers and lakes of Canada. Blount's small ships -- holding no more than 96 passengers -- offer an informal atmosphere and personalized service similar to cruising on your own private yacht.

Blount's ships feature a bow ramp, which allows disembarkation on river banks in remote locations, making even the most unique sites easily accessible. Shore excursions might include kayaking, biking and horse-drawn carriage rides. Historians and naturalists are available to provide local insight.

Back onboard, you'll enjoy wine-tastings and culinary demonstrations. Fresh, local cuisine is served daily in the onboard dining room and wine is included on select evenings. Refreshments are available all day, though alcoholic beverages are not available for purchase onboard. You are also always welcome to bring your own beverages, as mixers and storage are available in the lounge.

Canada vacations are classified according to the quality and location of hotels and restaurants and the number of included meals and activities. Blount cruises are categorized as first class on the industry rating scale (budget, first class and deluxe).
