Trafalgar Tour Itinerary
Welcome to Boston! Get settled at the Omni Parker House, an Authentic Accommodation. An Historic Hotel of America, the Parker House was frequented by some of the brightest minds from the Golden Age of Literature—Emerson, Thoreau, Hawthrone and Longfellow. Generations of local and national politicians—including Ulysses S. Grant, Franklin D. Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and William Jefferson Clinton—assembled for private meetings, press conferences, and power breakfasts here. Set out on your own to spot some of Boston's historical sites before gathering at the hotel at 6 p.m. with your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception. (Welcome Reception)

Travel north through the forests of maple, birch and majestic white pine before crossing the border and arriving at Fredericton, the riverfront capital of New Brunswick. This evening, enjoy dinner with your travelling companions at a local restaurant. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)

Explore charming Fredericton, home to the University of New Brunswick, the stately Legislative Assembly building and the striking Christ Church Cathedral. Travel along the rugged coastline of the Bay of Fundy on your way to the site of the final battle between the French and English in the war over Canada—Fort Beausejour. Get a taste for military life here in the 1700s before ending the day in the vibrant city of Halifax. (Full Breakfast)

With your orientation to this sparkling port city, learn about Nova Scotia's intimate ties to the Titanic and visit the massive Halifax Citadel, formerly one of the principal naval bases of the British Empire. This afternoon, breathe in the fresh ocean air at Peggy's Cove on St. Margaret's Bay, delighting painters and photographers with its red lighthouse and colourful fishing village. Return to Halifax for an evening on your own. (Full Breakfast)

Head north to Jeddore Oyster Pond and the Fisherman's Life Museum, which allows you to imagine the simple joys and struggles of a typical fisherman's family in the early 1900s. Then stroll among the clapboard houses, visit the blacksmith's shop and see the local school of Sherbrooke Village, a meticulously re-created lumber town from the late 19th century. Upon reaching Cape Breton Island, end your travels in the town of Baddeck on the shores of the enchanting Bras d'Or Lake. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)

Visit the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site where the inventor of the telephone chose to build his grand Canadian estate. Get a taste of the natural beauty that enchanted him on the famed Cabot Trail, a breathtaking journey around the tip of the island. Look out for black bear, moose and bald eagle as you travel past the majestic cliffs and canyons of Cape Breton Highlands National Park. (Full Breakfast)

Traversing the scenic Nova Scotia countryside, spot little farms, glittering stretches of blue water and rocky headlands before arriving at the lovely harbour of Pictou. Cross the Northumberland Strait to magical Prince Edward Island and picturesque Charlottetown. Visit the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company and learn the secrets of making delicious fruit preserves. Join your hosts for a Be My Guest dinner featuring authentic local cuisine. (Full Breakfast / Be My Guest Dining)

Join a Local Expert today for an insider's tour of Prince Edward Island. Begin your exploration at Prince Edward Island National Park with its sand dunes festooned with gently waving beach grass and striking red sandstone cliffs. Visit Province House, Prince Edward Island's provincial legislature meeting place since 1847 and a National Historic Site. Later, pay a visit to the gabled house that provided inspiration for the beloved children's classic, Anne of Green Gables. Return to Charlottetown and enjoy the evening on your own. (Full Breakfast)

Cross back over the Northumberland Strait, this time by the Confederation Bridge, an eight-mile-long engineering wonder. Back in New Brunswick, head out onto the waters to learn about the art and science of lobstering, then enjoy a lobster Highlight Lunch aboard the boat (weather permitting). Back on land, visit a local winery for a Local Specialty tasting of their famed fruit wines before ending your journey in Moncton, originally settled in 1766 by Pennsylvania Dutch immigrants. (Full Breakfast / Highlight Lunch / Dinner)

Get out your Guinness Book of World Records this morning and join a Local Expert to visit the magnificently eroded Hopewell Rocks in the Bay of Fundy, site of the world's highest tides. Then it's on to another natural phenomenon to see the roiling waters of the Reversing Falls in the St. John River from a scenic viewpoint. Continue your journey to St. John where you enjoy a tour, including a visit to the Old City Market where locals have come to buy fresh produce and fish for more than 100 years. (Full Breakfast)

Head south and across the border to Maine's Mount Desert Island. Once home to the largest hotel in North America, the city of Bar Harbor also played host to the grand mansions of the American elite. Marvel at Acadia National Park's granite cliffs overlooking dramatic, windswept beaches, graceful stone bridges arching over rushing streams and stands of ancient maples. This evening, toast your travelling companions with a glass of wine at a festive Maine lobster Farewell Dinner. (Full Breakfast / Farewell Dinner)

End your journey with one last trip along the New England coastline, passing by old whaling villages dotted with lighthouses, the playgrounds of the rich and famous, and rocky beaches on your way back to Boston. Upon arrival, you are transferred to Boston Logan International Airport or to the hotel in Boston for guests extending their stay. Please do not schedule any flights before 7:30 p.m. (Full Breakfast)
