Rocky Mountaineer operates scenic rail journeys in Canada and the United States. After spending your day winding around stunning mountain peaks and glittering lakes, you’ll transfer to a high-quality hotel for the evening. The company's trains do not have sleeper cars.
There are two levels of service offered for the rail portion of your trip -- SilverLeaf or GoldLeaf (only SilverLeaf is offered on U.S. itineraries). SilverLeaf Service features roomy, air-conditioned rail cars with glass-domed windows and hot entrée options for breakfast and lunch served at your seat. GoldLeaf Service features bi-level domed rail cars with air conditioning and panoramic views; gourmet à la carte meals are served in the lower-level dining room. Snacks and alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages are complimentary aboard the train for both levels of service.
With the GoldLeaf option, you can also choose to upgrade hotel accommodations throughout your tour.
Trip ratings on this site are based on the quality of accommodations, the number of included meals and activities and the level of service delivered. Rocky Mountaineer's vacations are categorized as first class on the industry rating scale (budget, first class or deluxe).
